Going Away Maddness

As promised....The return of the BLOG!  Now that I am settled (kinda) in Boston I finally have time to put some thought into this thing.  My trip went well, no problems, just had to deal with an ass early flight out of Milwaukee.  Oy vey.  But it was cool, I kinda liked getting in at 930, I had all day to play with.  I had planned to unpack the one bag that came with me so I wouldn't feel overwhelmed when the rest of my things arrive.  Only I get home and realize that the closet is FULL of stuff.  I move to the dresser...also FULL of stuff.  My first job in Boston is apparently to clean out the closet so I can put my stuff in it.  The only problem with that is there is no where to put their stuff.  So now, I am here, feeling like Im still on vacation cuz Im living out of the two luggage bags I have.  On Friday the other three pieces of luggage as well as 4 boxes are supposed to arrive.  It sounds like a lot, but really the boxes were originally two large boxes that fell apart so I used 4 smaller boxes--and thats mostly winter gear.  I still don't know what I'll do with all of it.

On to the fun stuff.  My last week in Chicago was one for the record books!  I had "The Last Part I'll Ever Throw In Chicago"' party on Saturday, which turned out really well :)  Some people came by early, then there was a lull in the middle when I really thought others were not going to show (it was stressful), but they came through around 11 or so.  I should have never doubted them.

Erica made these FABULOUS Australian Flag cookies.  She is soo creative!

With the unseasonably cold temperatures, I had to cover my awesome cocktail dress with a ugly white hoodie. As JP would say "Classy...real f'in classy"

Holy crap Erica has some crazy blue eyes!

Chris and I always have the same looking pictures...but its doesn't stop me from taking more!

Branden and I always have the same looking pictures too, though usually without Jake creepin in the background!

Alison was a surprise guest!  Alison lived on my floor senior year at ISU.  It was the first time she made it to the city for one of my parties.  But I was super excited she could make it!!

Kat has been happily inducted into our super cool club!

This was all Jake.  He went out of his way to surprise me with a champagne toast (notice the classy red plastic cups, LOL).  It was super sweet, hence the gremlin face Im making to stop from crying, and/or turning into a tomato.
Crying did ensue however.  I blame it all on Chris.  And once it started it was hard to stop, and then turned into a laughing fit.

And unfortunately the only picture I have with the lovely Bethanty (above) was taken after the crying/laughing fits.
